Is Malta/Gozo good for scuba diving?
Malta, Gozo and Comino are a diver’s paradise. Scuba diving is possible throughout the year, with May to September providing the best conditions. All the caves, reefs and wrecks, mainly reached from shore, make diving here some of the most interesting in the Mediterranean. The abundance of dive sites are suitable for beginners, advanced and technical divers.
How much is diving in Malta Gozo?

If you want to try scuba diving for the first time, for just €85 you are all set! A real dive on one of our beautiful dive sites, no additional costs. Is it safe to swim in the sea in Malta Gozo?

The coastal waters around the Maltese Archipelago are generally clean and safe for swimming. You should keep in mind that some bays are exposed to north and north-easterly winds, which at times can produce some strong undercurrents.

How deep is the Blue Hole in Gozo?
The Blue Hole in Dwejra, Gozo is one of the most popular dive sites. The hole itself starts at sea level, with approximately 5 m across and a maximum depth of 15 m. A beautiful archway or underwater window leads from the hole into the open sea at 9 m deep. A large cave can also be found at the bottom of the hole.
When did the Azure Window collapse? Can I dive the Azure Window?

On the morning of 8th March 2017, Gozo’s world-famous landmark, the Azure Window, collapsed into the sea. The stormy sea took its toll over the years and the stone structure, weighing many thousand tons, had become unstable.

The Azure Window has been reborn as the Azure Boulders! A new, fascinating underwater playground with plenty of hiding places for flora and fauna has been born.

What is the best diving destination in Europe?

Are there sharks around Malta Gozo?
There are no less than 36 known species of sharks in Maltese waters. The species include thresher, basking and great white sharks. Unfortunately, shark encounters on dives are quite rare. Interestingly, over all, great white sharks are known to breed near the islet of Filfla.
When is the best time to scuba dive in Malta Gozo?
As the climate is pleasant and the water warm, the main season is April to November, but you can dive all year around! In summer, water temperatures can rise up to a cozy 26 °C. The autumn storms arrive during November and December, but normally even then there are sheltered dive locations to be found.
What can you see diving in Malta/Gozo?
When diving in Malta and Gozo, the main attraction is not a teeming marine life as you’d expect at more exotic destinations, but rather the caves, caverns, tunnels and wrecks. Some wrecks are naturally sunken during World War II and others intentionally placed by the state.
Do I need a medical certificate when diving in Malta Gozo?
